Fire Department

The City of Douglas Fire Department has been in existence since 1902. The City of Douglas was then incorporated in 1905. The Fire Department does have a very rich history in southern Arizona.

The City of Douglas Fire Department serves an 8 square mile area for fire suppression response and a 1500 square mile area for a Emergency Medical Service Response. We currently run out of one Fire Station located at 1400 10th Street, and we are always trying to find ways to improve our service to our customers.

Our staff consists of one Fire Chief, two administration staff and 24 paid full time personnel and provide twenty four hour emergency service. Fire Chief Mario Novoa and staff welcome you to our city and hope you enjoy our southwestern hospitality.

The Douglas Fire Department welcomes your comments and suggestions.
